"Armproject" JSC (up to 1996 State Leading Design Institute "Armstateproject") was founded in 1955 as a company with a wide spectrum of resources in the field of regional planning, development
of general layouts of cities and settlements, as well as architectural design of residential and civil engineering objects throughout the Republic of Armenia.
At the cradle of the company establishment were the masters of architecture and highly qualified engineers leading by the national architect of the USSR .
The status of the Leading Design organization, abundance of the state orders, active participation in numerous republican, Union and international architectural competitions and reviews promoted forming of a creative atmosphere, in which the next generation of designers was involved and many of them further have received governmental honours and awards.

"Gyumri" airports, resort complex in Hanqavan, Jermuk, Arzni, Sevan and Dilijan cities, as well as the houses of culture, cinemas, stadiums, residential areas and microdistricts in all cities of Armenia that were built according to the projects, developed in "Armstateproject".
In crucial 1990-th, along with emergence of private capital and forming of market relations, the "Armstateproject" institute was privatized by the collective and reorganized as a joint-stock company "Armproject". For the joint-stock company "Armproject" the main factors of activity are the following:
- To improve the quality of our production, by full modernization and the maximal automation of designing processes.
- The maximal reduction of designing terms.
- The maximal satisfaction of customer's desires.
- Readiness of granting of additional services both in the field of engineering-geological researches and in sphere of designing and construction.
