History
"Armproject" OJSC ("Armstateproject") was founded in 1955 as a company with wide spectrum of resources in the field of regional planning, development of general layouts of cities and settlements and also dwelling and public buildings.
Today during fifty-five years of its existence "Armproject" has brilliantly solved all the problems.
Many big buildings such as the branch N2 of the Governmental Building, the complex of the Academy of Sciences, the building of Yerevan State University, the Memorial Complex of Genocide Victims, "Hrazdan" Stadium, Sport-Concert Complex and other buildings were built in Yerevan and all the cities of the Republic.
"Armstateproject" institute was privatized by the collective and recognized as s joint-stock company "Armproject" in 1996.
"Armproject" consists of administrative and designing departments, which contain 8 architectural studios, 5 construction bureaus and 6 engineering departments.
Architectural studios have the names of the heads of the studios, who are very famous and highly experienced architects.
"Armproject" OJSC having long-term experience and reach archival material is able to undertake any design and development work, projected by Republic of Armenia.

The project RA law ''About Architecture'' which was developed by Sashur Qalashyan-the head of an architectural studio of Armproject OJSC is in the limits of State Commission adjacent with Administration of Architecture Union of Armenia and The Ministry of Urban Planning of RA. The project is under professional discussion.
Projects
According to the decision made by the Government of RA in 2008, a thesis was confirmed that further economical achievement of Gyumri should be based on its obvious advantages, such as: geological and geopolitical position of the city, climatic conditions, historico-cultural notable potential. So it is decided to restart "Kumayri" reserve, to found a technopark, to stimulate tourism, to organize free zone of trade.
